Anne Wieben<\/b> is a Vienna-based American soprano celebrated for her \u201cvelvety soprano\u201d and captivating stage presence. Critics have lauded her as a \u201ctrue diva\u201d with a \u201chint of femme fatale.\u201d She holds a Master\u2019s degree in Opera Performance from the Musik und Kunst Universit\u00e4t der Stadt Wien and a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota. Anne is the founder and creative director of Opera on the Lake<\/a>, a summer opera festival in Minnesota, and the executive director of Really Spicy Opera<\/a>, a company devoted to creating and performing new works through its “Aria Institute” workshop series.<\/span><\/p>\n Anne’s early career included notable recordings such as Frau Madaldrut in Siegfried Wagner\u2019s <\/span>Der Schmied von Marienburg<\/span><\/i> with the Gdansk Philharmonic as well as Diana in Anton Urspruch\u2019s <\/span>Das Unm\u00f6glichste von Allem<\/span><\/i>, the latter of which was recorded for Marco Polo Records and released in 2013.
