The versatile artist proved why she is in demand at reknown opera houses. Her stage presence is just as extraordinary as her voice. This first class level was made clear several times during the concert, for example in the aria of the Countess from Mozart’s “Figaro” or as “Mimi” in excerpts from Puccini’s “La Boheme”. Just to hear Wieben <\/strong>sing was worth the concert visit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u2026 The more serious and more durable sister, Fiordiligi, is often in danger of coming across somewhat pale and overly serious, although they (the sisters) are actually going through a quite similar development.
Anne Wieben<\/strong> did it quite differently, and absolutely splendidly succeeded in bringing out the latent comic pathos of her two great solo numbers. With her metallic soprano she mastered the heights of the dreaded “Come scoglio” aria easily, but she also offered up warm colours.<\/p>\n
